The Racetrack Practice is a division of the Equine Veterinary Surgeons Association of Australia.

The mission of Racetrack Practice is to develop new clinical, communications & research initiatives for the betterment of all horses and the equine industry.

This will be achieved through providing state of the art veterinary services training future generations of veterinarians to the highest standards generating new knowledge through research focusing on the health and fitness of horses developing an industry partnered education and communications network to disseminate the latest practical horse health care and disease outbreak information.

Graduated from University of Melbourne, Sole Practice Principal and director since July 2002 Commenced working as an associate of Dr.Ross Teitzel around Melbourne in 1997 before assuming partnership with Dr. Teitzel and changing the business name to The Racetrack Practice P/L. Assumed 100% ownership of the practice during 2002 when Dr. Teitzel announced his retirement.

Previously had a wide range of equine clinical experience ranging from mass gelding of feral colts on the outback stations of the Katherine region in the N.T. through to the veterinary care of show jumpers and hacks belonging to Queen Elizabeth II stabled at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk during a stint working in the UK

Special Interests; Diagnosis and management of lameness and poor performance in racehorses, particularly stress/ overtraining injuries and the management of this syndrome. Yearling sales and pre-purchase inspections.
